Using the Wait Condition in workflows - a good idea?

Hi guys,

When we had a consultant to help us, she said to not use the 'Wait Condition" when creating workflows because it will significantly slow the system down.

Just wanted to see what people though of this - is it bad to use the Wait Condition? It would be awesome if we could use it but not if it will make the system unusable - what's every's opinion and experience on this?

We are on CRM Online 2013

Thanks in advance!

C

    Hi chon,

No it never slow down the system. For some cases wait condition is used, for example sending email to particular client on when a date is arrived.

see the below link to get clear idea about that.

    Hi,

The waiting workflow is serialised to a row the database with a suspend until date that is used by the async service to only process the workflows that are needed. This is a very efficient process. The system will only slow down if you have many workflows all trying to resume and run at once.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott
