PurchaseOrderLines Endpoint for RECEIVE

Hello community,

Is there an endpoint (Odata or SOAP) to edit the reveivedQuantity in the purchase order position?

The v2 purchaseOrderLines PATCH endpoint results in

Control 'receivedQuantity is read-only,

and I can't find any Outbound action or Odata Codeunit to use to receive goods and edit the purchase order line.

    For this you have to use the purchase order and the purchase order line API's

    docs.microsoft.com/.../dynamics_purchaseorder

    The quantity you want to receive you have to set in the receiveQuantity field in the purchase line API.

    Then you run the bound post action on the purchase order to update the recievedQuantity field.

    Dear Mr. Bruvik,

    thank you for your answer. I am able to PATCH the receiveQuantity in the purchaseOrderLine. But I am not able to find a bound action for the purchase order in the documentation.

    I am able to trigger the bound action shipAndInvoice in the SalesOrder but do not see that smth. similar exists for the purchase order.

    Am I looking in the wrong place, or do I have to create this bound action myself? If so do you have some pointers on how to create it?

    Hi Sven,

    I must admit that i have not tried this API myself. 

    But when i look at the documentation for purchase invoice api  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/api-reference/v2.0/resources/dynamics_purchaseinvoice#bound-actions i see that the bound action is available there.
    So now i wonder if it is the documentation for bound actions on purchase orders that is missing or if the functionality is actually missing. I will try to figure that out.

    In the mean time i think you should try to do the post action and purchaseorder bases on the pattern described for the purchase invoice and see what response you get when you try that.

    I will update here when i figure out what is missing - documentation or functionality.

    Hi Inge,

    thanks again for your message. I just tried out the purchaseInvoice Post action and it works nicely.

    Applying the same action Microsoft.NAV.post on PurchaseOrder results in a 404. So it looks like it does not exist.

    I will try to figure out how they are defined.
