Creating a DIXF Entity for Print Management

Hello all,

I am trying to create a DIXF entity to import Print management setup data for customers. I am creating from wizard "Create a custom entity for data import/export".
I selected table "PrintMgmtDocInstance" and pressed next. Then selected "PrintMgmtSetupUIMain" menu item and selected "Generate data from method" option and click finish. it gives me these errors.

1. Subnode already exists.

2. Creation of entity table has been stopped.

Note: I have tried other available options as well. like "Generate data from query" and also i created a new display menu item for entity but in all cases same error is showing.

Actually i am creating new data entity. And I think the steps you are mentioning will come after creation of entity. so my problem is creating a new entity.

Yes, I am getting error when I press OK for generating relations from foreign key.

Hi Shahrukh,

The wizard is not able to create entities for all tables. Some tables, do have exceptions which can cause this behavior. I'm also not able to run the wizard for this table (AX2012R3CU12). E.g. it is also not supported to be used with inherited tables.

Instead you can create the staging table, target query and DMF entity class manually.

I am trying to create entity for standard table "PrintMgmtDocInstance". I am not explicitly creating any relations. Just when I press finish from entity creation wizard, and AX creates project for entity and then it asks me

and i just press Yes. it gives me the errors i mentioned in the post.

however screen shot of the project and table that it creates is attached.
