Dear good afternoon,

I have the following case in my organization.

Have a user who will have their email changed in Office 365, automatically what happens to active and inactive CRM records?

Do they remain tied to the user who will have the email changed sometime?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi partner,

If you changed a user's email address in Office 365, there will be no effects to active or inactive record in CRM.

In general, it will take about 5-10 mins to sync the user information between office 365 and CRM.

So changing the user email address will be safe and sending or receiving emails in CRM all using lookup field that means we do not need to enter the email address manually.

If my understanding is not correct, please feel free to let me know and share more information about your problem.

    Best Regards,

    Leo

    Hi Ricardo,

Below is the article which has the list of fields that are automatically synced from Office 365 portal (or AAD) to CRM.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/create-users-assign-online-security-roles#user-profile-information

If we are updating the username in the Office 365 portal this should get synced to CRM as well within few minutes. I have just verified this scenario in my org and it works fine.

Note that the “Primary Email” field in CRM does not get updated automatically, if change is required, this field needs to be updated manually in CRM.

    Thanks,
