Select budget lines to auto create a purchase order

We spend a considerable amount of time manually inputting job budget lines, to then manually enter the lines again into a purchase order- is there a way I can select the budget lines items and auto create a purchase order from them to the relevant vendor?

    Hi,

As mentioned, Microsoft does not provide any official Documentation about Jobs for NAV2009. The second link I've posted does describe the options in NAV2013 - NAV2016.

Additionally, to bring it more on point: The Job-Module of NAV does not support to create Purchase Orders out of a Budget. By posting a Job Journal you are able to compare the Job-Budget against the actual usage.

Hmm I must be missing something I cant seem to find any of the functions described in these documents.

In the job set up page I don't have any option to 'apply usage links' or the planning lines page to enter a 'qty. to transfer to journal'

This doesn't matter because it has no functional effect on record usage in Jobs.

Alternativley, here is the documentation for NAV2013 - 2016: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh172363(v=nav.90).aspx

There is no official documentation for NAV2009 about Jobs.

    Hi,

I cant see anywhere that has the apply usage link option in job set up to use this function- we are currently working on the 2009 version does that matter?

    Hi,

You are able to register actual costs using the "Job Journal". See following description:
