CRM Sales Close Quote Dialogue Restrict Options

Hi All

I'm trying to develop a plugin or other customisation to block selecting options other than Lost and NO as below
What are the messages for the Lost Reason, and Create Revised Quote for intervention via plugin? Or is there a better way to remove other options from the UI?

Don't spend time trying to discover a plugin message specifically called "Lost Reason" or "Create Revised Quote".

These are parameters/fields involved in the quote-closing operation, not necessarily independent plugin

messages. Use command customization for the UI restriction and a plugin for business-rule enforcement.

This is more robust and easier to maintain across environments.

Thanks for suggestion to command customization - but is there a easy way of command customization without resorting to third party tools?

    1. UI level → best user experience
      • Use Command Bar / Ribbon customization
      • If these are choice/status options rather than commands, JavaScript can filter/hide the options.
      • This prevents users from seeing options they should not select.
    2. Server-side — plugin
      • A plugin is still recommended if the restriction is a business rule.
      • Do not depend on JavaScript alone because users/integrations/API calls can bypass it.
      • Register the plugin on the relevant operation and validate the selected value/action. If anything other than Lost or No is submitted, throw an InvalidPluginExecutionException.

One other thing I would check is the Dynamics 365 mailbox record itself. After a tenant migration, it may be worth confirming the mailbox is still associated with the correct user, server profile, and approval state, and that there are no lingering synchronization errors in the mailbox alerts. If SMTP, Test & Enable, and redeployment all look correct, that could help narrow down whether the issue is in Dynamics 365 mailbox configuration rather than Outlook.
