Customer journey and marketing form

Hi!

I have created a customer journey where we will send out an invitation. In the invitation there is a button to a marketing page that contains a form.

In the customer journey, we have a static segment that we send out the invitation to, if they have filled out the form, they should receive a confirmation email.

However, I have run into a problem. One of those who signed up via the form did so with an email address that was not included in the static segment. In the customer journey, I can neither see that he has registered via the form nor received the confirmation email. But if I go to the insight tab on the marketing form I can se that the contact has submitted the form.

Everyone else is included in the tile that checks whether you have filled in the form or not in the journey, and they have also received a confirmation email. Is it a bug that that particular person was not included in the customer journey, or is it supposed to work this way because it is a static segment?

    Only the specific use in the static segment? 

    How do other users go about sending emails?

    Could you share some screenshots about it?
