What kind of data will be clean up by Notification clean up task

I would like to perform the periodical clean task in D365.
 
If i execute the notification clean up task, it will delete records from the EventInbox and EventInBoxData.
 
May i know what kind of information are stored in these tables? Action Center Notification?

    The information in these tables are the result of enabling alerts on specific data change actions or due date approach as Alerts set up by users.

    On almost every form in D365FO users can go to the tab 'Options' at the top of the form and create alerts:
     
     
    In the module System administration you can find all Alert rules created via Setup -> Alert rules:
