Batch post project invoice proposal not working

Hi,

For Project Management Accounting, I am able to set a batch job to create Project Invoice Proposals automatically. I would like for those proposals to post automatically.

I looked into the Post Project Invoice Proposal job. I was able to set it up as batch with a recurrence. The batch job runs but it is not posting the Project Invoice Proposals. I do not have a workflow enabled nor attached. It works fine if I post the proposals manually.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are batch jobs running as expected and does this batch job for posting project invoice proposals run properly?

Hi Gunjan,

Yes, batch jobs are running properly. No errors or nothing. it's just not performing the posting for some reason.

Hi Y.K,

While setting up the "Post invoice proposal" batch job, are you able to see all the open invoice proposals in the Overview section?

I believe only these chosen invoice proposals get posted once you setup this batch job. For the next batch of invoice proposals created, you will need to create another batch job to post them.

Thanks Gunjan. I think you answered my original question. I would like to setup the posting to automatically happen for any Project Invoice proposals that are in an Open status. So, I am able to setup the batch like you are describing, but if it's only for those specific proposals, then it would mean that the job recurrence is useless. Can you confirm? Thanks again!

Hi Y.K,

If you are looking to post open invoice proposals automatically, you will need to do some customization. I tested the existing functionality and it just posts the selected invoice proposals. Even looking at the parameters for the batch jobs, only the selected proposals are visible.

Setup your select query then check the "Late Selection" box to have the query run each time the batch is run just like with other document postings in D365.
