how to set the formula of Purchase orders of item amount that when you check price that includes sales tax ,the amount value of the line has changed automatically

I found that there is a checkmark in the header of PO ,that is used to add sales tax on that item amount directly so I need to know how to get the item amount without including sales tax;i tried to call the class TradeTotals but it isn't working well.Any help will be appreciated.
