MRP plan order based on Availeble + Reserved physical

Hi

We have some parts that we bring to customer just in case we need it but most of the time we do not install it.

The problem I have

we have a part with  a min of 5 and a max of 10.

The problem i have is that if I open 5 documents with 2 of these parts on it , the MRP will reorder 10. When the tech come back from the job he remove the lines that have not been used. So not i have 20 in stock.

Is there a way to base the mimax based available physical + Reserved Physical instead of only available physical.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi Alzelus,

I believe it is not possible to do that: "Is there a way to base the mimax based available physical + Reserved Physical instead of only available physical."

    However,

The workaround below can help you a bit.

You can change your "Fulfill minimum" setting to "First issue" to have a planned order which will arrive on the delivery date of your sales order, not today. (I assume you are using lead times). So, let's say your next sales order's delivery date is in 20 days, and application creates a planned po for 10 pieces as you said. As a result of "First issue" that planned order will be scheduled to arrive on that day then. That is, you can push the delivery date of your PO to a later date.

If you are using action messages and can cancel the reservation on original sales order before receiving that PO, master planning can tell you that you don't need this PO anymore and offer you to cancel it.
