Release wave 2 - export to pdf feature

Hello, in the dynamics 365 release wave 2 documentation, there's reference to export to pdf off custom entities feature that is supposed to be available as of october 1, 2020 (page 74). We want to explore its behavior and constraints.

But we can't locate it anywhere, is it not available for gcc users? If yes, how to go about accessing it.

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi glouser,

Please make sure your environment has 2020 release wave 2 enabled. (How to enable early access updates)

    Then refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales-enterprise/enable-pdf-generation-quote#enable-or-disable-pdf-generation-if-you-have-opted-in-for-2020-release-wave-2-features

    1. At the bottom of the site map, select Change area pastedimage1601620996015v9.png and then select App Settings.

    2. In the site map, select Overview.

    3. On the Overview page, under Productivity tools, select Manage for Convert to PDF.

    4. On the Convert to PDF page, select the entities for which you want to enable the PDF generation capability.

    5. Select Save.

Thank you it appears accessible thru that. One followup question I have is it appears the PDF generation happens by first creating a template. Currently a template lets you have a base entity A and its related 1:N entitiies B. But if you want to access entity B's 1:N related entity C's attributes in the PDF, you can't do that. Correct?

    Hi glouser,

    Yes, that's right.
