How to store user data for a BC extension on App Source?

If I have an extension deployed on AppSource, how would I store data the of a BC user who installs my extension? I am ultimately trying to create a trial/subscription system that starts when the user first installs the app. This is why I need to store the users data securely some how.

    The easiest way is to let your App call a web service/ Azure logic app that you setup. That can tell you what tenant is running your app and you can have your logic app return a value to indicate if the license is valid or not.

    Regarding the last link you sent "Spare Brained Licensing". Am I able to use that extension for my own app (me being a developer and publisher)? Or did you just send that as a recommendation for similar logic to implement?

    I think the Spraebraind solution is something you can use.

    I have never tried it myself.

    But you should find it on AppSource.
