CRM Customer Access

Posted on by 75

Hey guys, just. a broad question not sure if I am in the right place.

We are generating leads for our customers. Once we have passed on the leads to our customers we'd like to provide them with a platform where they can easily manage their leads. Is it possible to provide CRM access for 1 user so he can see his allocated lead only.

For example:

Customer A has Lead A, B, C and D

Customer B has Lead R, G and N

When customer A logs in we only want to show case Leads A, B, C and D and vice versa.

Ideally we will have one CRM instance for each customers (we are looking at around 50 customers). Also opp reporting will be individual.

Thank you

You can add them into Azure AD as a Guest and assign them a Dynamics 365 Licence (from the Azure AD interface), then assign a Security Role to them as per other users.  You would have to implement appropriate privileges for the Security Role and possibly a Business Unit structure.  One of the limitations of a Guest is the usual email functionality does not work for them (not part of your exchange etc)

    docs.microsoft.com/.../invite-users-azure-active-directory-b2b-collaboration

However, usually for anyone that is not an internal user, we would recommend using the PowerApps Portal for those users.

Also, unless there was a specific need would not do a separate Instance for each Guest - would be a pain in the backside to manage and aggregate changes etc.

    Hello,

This depends on how the customers are interacting?

If they are users in the CRM, you can make the customers access the leads records based based on the security roles.

If the customers are not users in the organization, then you can provision a portal website to allow them access to their leads records, which will be managed in entity permissions and web roles.

I believe you are looking for the second option.

    Hi,

I don't know if I understood correctly the question, but, did you see this documentation ?

    docs.microsoft.com/.../security-roles-privileges

Basic. This access level gives a user access to records that the user owns, objects that are shared with the user, and objects that are shared with a team that the user is a member of.

This is the typical level of access for sales and service representatives.

The application refers to this access level as User.
