Excel add-ins: Custom document template for "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity"

Hi experts,

I am working on PO lines upload using excel add-ins and want to add few more fields in the excel template.

I have checked the document template but I am not seeing "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity".

I tried to add new template along with additional column in the excel for "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity" but

even though I am not seeing new excel add-ins on purchase order form.

When I checked the entity "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity", I found there are fields added under field group and

the same fields appears on the standard excel add-ins.

Could you please suggest how my purchase line excel template will work ?

Note: I don't want to use standard excel template.

Note: Default purchase order line V2 template not available under document template.

Hi,

After you changed the template have you uploaded it here?

About the available entities, I also do see only the following ones starting with Purchase order line.

There might be something in the entity configuration that allows you to see the entity in the office integration.

Hi Vinay,

Can you tell us more about your Excel template and what you mean by "I have checked the document template"? Can you also tell what exact fields you noticed in a group that are not visible?

Thanks for your response.

First of all I am not seeing "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity" under document template, Is any entity level

setup do I need to perform to visualized "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity" under document template.

To fix this issue I have created new template under document template for "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity"

and uploaded my excel template there but even I am not seeing created new template on purchase order form.

I want to add dimension fields on purchase line excel template so that those fields always visual on template.

Please suggest.

Hi,

To ensure your custom document template appears in the Open in Office menu, please verify the following under System administration > Setup > Office integration > Document templates:
-Your custom template is activated.
-The "List in Open in Office menu" option is checked.
-The Root data entity matches the one used in the standard template.

Your suggested option I have already applied but even I am not seeing my template on purchase order.

A interesting thing I noticed there is no template for standard entity - "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity".

Just checking Is there any setup do we need to do to visible "PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity" template on

document template location?
