Mark Work Order Bookable Resource Booking Status "Complete pending Actions" and leave Work Order Status "In Progress"

Hi,

Our work typically has an onsite component and then a significant offsite follow-up component. We manage this under a single work order per job.

Is there a way to complete the bookable resource booking for the order (with a label something like "Completed Onsite - Action Required to Complete Work Order") and leave the Work Order Status as "In Progress" so that we can see the overall job isn't complete.

We have set this up, but when we come to actually change the Work Order status to "Completed" a background process "competeUpdateBooking" won't allow it because it seems to need to have booking status as "Completed"

Thanks

Can you not create a Work Order substatus named something like "Onsite Completed" for the system status In Progress?

    Then in your business process

    - manually with humans

---person responsible for follow up can see a view (custom created if desired) showing all Work Orders In Progress with Onside Completed substatus and can take action on each one like do the follow up or create new booking for person who needs to do the follow up

    or automagically with 365

---when substatus of a WO goes to Onsite Completed then do whatever (i.e. create new booking for proper person to finish WO)

You can use the Work Order Sub status to control it.

I have done this before adding fields to the bookings so the technician can flag it as further work required, so I create another booking in the future. Or creating another resource requirement to schedule it again.

We have a similar scenario and what we have done is create a booking status of Follow On which is a completed status and also a work order sub status of Follow On.  So we can monitor all Work Orders at Follow on and manage accordingly whether they need an additional booking or can be complete
