Hello,

I am not sure how to find what is "Dimension set ID" related to the jobs. When I create jobs I assign various dimensions to that job. I understand that these dimensions assigning to the jobs called "Dimension set ID" which I will need to import data. But I don't know how to find what is "Dimension set ID" related to the jobs?

Any help will be highly appreciated please?

Thanks,

Hamid

    Hi Hamid,

As my last post, you cannot find "Dimension Set ID" related to the jobs because it does not exist.

To import default dimensions for Master Data, you import them to table 352 Default Dimension.

In the Job card, you have an option to assign different default dimension values. The combination of those values of different dimensions (plus perhaps some others) would basically result in the Dimension Set ID in the future postings.

What exactly is your requirement? Where are you importing the data?

    Hi,

You have to find the dimension set id based on the combination of dimensions and then you can update that id. May be you can think of updating dimension set id after importing all data and then use one report to update dimension set id in transactions.

    Hi HSHAFI,

You can view all fields via Help -> About This Page, or press Ctrl+Alt+Windows+F1:

    - Master Data such as Job, Customer, Vendor hasn't got Dimension Set ID field.

    - It is available for Open and Posted Transaction Data.

    Hi,

Check the GetDimensionSetID() on Table 480 Dimension Set Entry.

You can get the Dimension Set ID from the Job(s) and then filter that value with this Dimension Set Entry table.

    Hope it helps.
