Gp2010 to GP2015 data conversion

Hello All,

We are converting from GP2010 to Gp2015 I have the server up and running. I have web client up and running and still have an issue/problem to resolve.

I apologize if this question has been asked. I searched and did not see an answer

When the company data is converted I do not see any of the previous pay periods/pay years. Is there a way to pull over the existing pay calendars from previous years? or Do I need to recreate each of the previous years manually?

    Hi Brian,

There is no need to perform any special operations AFAIK to have them show up.. unless you closed the payroll year as part of the process after the upgrade..

Which exact version from GP2010 did you went to GP2015 and what is your final release ?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.  Our current version is 11.00.2351 SP4 going to 14.00.0952

So do the existing Pay Schedules come over? Do we need to create the historical schedules? Will we need to create the current year?

    Thanks

    Hi Brian,

I guess that you figured out in the mean time after doing the upgrade for the YE that the pay schedules aren't affected by the upgrade..

You didn't metioned if you're using the Canadian or US payroll in GP, as both work slightly differently in the upgrade process.. the Canadian payroll YE tax update has a mandatory service pack upgrade tied to it, whereas the US doesn't.. (it's only tax file upload into GP).
