Is it possible to integrate AX2012 and D365Human reosurce

Hi All,

I want to integrate AX2012 data to Human resource (Talent)

I can either use CDS or DMF, though CDS would be preferred method for the future, we may need to go DMF route since it covers the complete entities.

I also wanted to know if there is any ISV or a third party who has done this earlier for dynamics AX. Rather than developing it from scratch, I would prefer if somebody has already done this and we can quickstart on this.

So please let me know if you any ISV solution or company who has already done this ?

I don't have direct experience between these two applications, but have used different technologies which would make it possible to achieve an integration.

Can you tell your requirements for the integration? What will be your primary application? What data needs to be send over on what schedule?

Hi,

My requirement is to integrate basic data (worker, address, employee, job, position etc.) from AX2012 to Human Resource. I believe DIXF will be the best suited technology here. Not sure if any other technology can be suitable here?

Hi Sayanika,

DIXF will be possible, however, it will probably require more manual work compared to a development effort to automate it.

Hi,

If your requirement is to integrate the basic data (worker, address, employee, job, position etc.) from AX2012 to Human Resource, DIXF is the only best OOB standard feature that Microsoft is providing however if you still need any assistance about the ISV solution providers or any other possible integrations, I would recommend you to log MS support case so that the MS support engineer will check with the Talent infra team about all the possibilities of integrations, Thanks.

Hi Talent.

If we are talking about automatically maintaining AX2012 employee related data based on the Talent solution then we might have a product that fits the bill called HR Connect.

Currently it's only available for D365 but if the need is there then we are happy to convert it into an AX2012 solution.

It allows Dynamics to create and maintain the following based on the data from the HR system.

- Employees

- Employment history

- Suppliers & Bank Accounts

- System Users

Hi,

Why would you like to actually build an integration from AX2012 to D365 HR for worker data?

Is this a one time data transfer, or a actually interface that keeps updating? If so, would it not be smarter to do it the otherway around?

D365 HR is way more easy friendlier and better to use.. so make that your main source of data!

As a ISV we have worked on these type of integrations before, feel free to reach out in case of questions.
