multiple setup for the item reservation screen

Currently we control the item reservation screen using the batch expiration date. This works well for sales order shipments. But for the item movement journal which we used to remove old inventory and expense them to different GL accounts, we want to include expired products. Is there a way to do this in AX 2012? Thanks.

I think I didn't phrase my question properly. Is there a way for the reservation screen to behave differently in sales order picking and inventory movement journal. In sales order picking, we don't the users to be able to reserve expired products but in the inventory movement journal we want the users to be able to reserve expired products. We can restrict reservation by batch expiration date but then it affects both sales order picking reservation and item movement journal reservation screens. Just checking if there is setting somewhere that will allow us to do what we want. Thanks.
