Cannot delete Unit of Measurement

I am currently trying to remove duplicate Units of Measurement and clarify the unit of measurement shorthand, but keep getting the below error.

Units cannot be deleted while dependent Inventory module parameters exist.

What does this mean? Is it tied to a product? Is it due to unit sequence groups?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Community member,

It means that the "unit of measurement" you are trying to delete, is used in "Inventory module parameters". You need to delete it from their first, before deleting parent record. So go there and check.

if you still don't figure it out, then please show us the path of the form you are trying to delete from

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

Inventory Module Parameters does not solve this question.

Does being in the inventory module parameters mean it is set at an item level, a unit sequence, in an item group, etc....? Being in the inventory module parameters doe not seem to narrow down what/where it needs to be removed before being able to access and delete units from Organization Admin > Setup > Units

    Hy,

there are not as much Inventory parameters using UOM.
Most common the default value for "Units" as it is the default UOM for new Items as well as for the bom unit.

    Hope this helps

BOM are not currently being used.

Default unit for all products is ea for each. Each is not one of the duplicate units.

It's not about Inventory parameters table. Inventory module parameters means InventTableModule table. The relation to UnitOfMeasure table is over InventTableModule.ItemId field.

I would look directly to the InventTableModule table (in database or through the table browser) and find where this unit is used. It'll give you a list of items that you need to handle.
