Hide specific Ledger Accounts in Module and Reports

i have a requirement where the user should be restricted to view some ledger accounts in the report and system. 

Example : i want to hide the series of Fixed Assets Ledger Accounts within a range in the Trail Balance View and Trail Balance Report. 

i have used Record Level Security on Main Accounts but its not working.

    How about trying with XDS (Security Policies)..?

    PS: I am not Fan/Expert of RLS, so I would avoid asking you details of why, how it’s not working. Though it can be helpful for others, if you can add such details.

    Hi Muhammad,

    Record level security is a legacy method for securing data. You have to look into eXtensible Data Security to achieve this. However, I wonder why you have this business requirement. If they don't see all accounts and amounts, the total might be incorrect. Then a user might take a wrong conclusion about e.g. the result.

    the requirement is to hide the Balances of Specific Accounts - in Reporting and Inquiries. I assume this will not impact totals- have to give it a try out.
