Hi

We are looking into the real time marketing.
The option to create a lead from this is gone.

Does anyone have a solution for this?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

The Lead cannot be created through the Form, probably because the Form is bound to the matching strategy.
The example images below bind the Form to the lead match strategy. This matching strategy is based on the email address.

If the submitted lead has the same email address as an existing lead, only the existing lead will be updated, not creating a new one.

For more information on the form matching strategy, please refer to this official document.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/mkt-settings-matching

Additionally, if you are unable to create a new lead in the Lead entity, it might be due to the fact that the access level to the lead entity has not been added to your security roles.
It is recommended to contact your system administrator to configure this.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,
    Dengliang Li

I've been down the real-time marketing road, and it can be tricky when the lead creation option disappears. Sometimes, it's a platform update or a setting. I'd suggest contacting customer support or checking the platform's help resources. Also, effective marketing is impossible without SEO, so check out local business seo service. Don't give up – you'll get those leads flowing again!

    Hey there!

The option to create leads or opportunities in a customer journey in Real-time will be added soon. I already saw screenshots for this functionality. You can check the release wave details for this as well.

To address the issue of creating leads through real-time marketing now that the direct option is unavailable, one effective solution is to use engaging content that resonates with your audience, such as promoting popular products like soft yoga leggings. By focusing on targeted campaigns and leveraging social media platforms, you can drive traffic to your site and capture leads through alternative methods like sign-up forms or special offers, ensuring that you still generate leads despite the change.

To address the issue of creating a lead from real-time marketing, consider using alternative engagement tools that allow for immediate customer interaction, such as pop-up offers or chatbots. While the direct option may be unavailable, you can still capture leads through other means, ensuring they convert by offering incentives like discounts on soft yoga pants to encourage immediate action.

    Hello Community member,

You are correct. The direct "Create lead" functionality that used to be available within the Segments view of Real-time Marketing has been removed by Microsoft as of February 2025.

This change is documented here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/journeys/removed-deprecated-features#features-removed-or-deprecated-in-february-2025

    Solutions and Workarounds:

Since the direct button is gone, you have a few alternative ways to create leads based on your Real-time Marketing segments:

    1. Use Power Automate:

      • You can create a Power Automate flow that triggers on the addition of a contact or profile to a specific Real-time Marketing segment.

      • Within the flow, you can then use the "Create a new row" action for the "Lead" entity to automatically create a lead record.

      • You can map attributes from the contact/profile record to the new lead record as needed.

      •

    2. Export Segment Members and Import as Leads (Less Ideal for Automation):

      • You can export the members of your Real-time Marketing segment to a CSV file.

      • Then, you can use the "Import Data" wizard in Dynamics 365 Sales to import these contacts as new lead records. This is a manual process and not ideal for real-time scenarios.

      •

    3. Create Leads Through Other Channels:

      • Continue using other methods for lead creation, such as manual entry in the Sales Hub, lead capture forms, or integrations with other systems.

      •

Which approach is best for you depends on your specific requirements for when and how leads should be created from your Real-time Marketing segments.

If you'd like to proceed with the Power Automate solution, here are the general steps:

    1. Go to Power Automate.

    2. Create a new Automated cloud flow.

    3. Trigger: Search for and select the "When a contact is added to a segment" or "When a customer profile is added to a segment" trigger from the Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys connector. Configure it to trigger on your desired segment.

    4. Action: Search for and select the "Create a new row" action from the Dataverse connector. Set the "Table name" to Leads.

    5. Map the fields from the contact/profile in your trigger to the relevant fields in the new lead record.

    6. Save and test your flow.
