WHS receive license plate error "Invalid license plate"

Hi,

i'm trying to receive a license plate. The origin is a transfer order. All work is closed and the shipments confirmed. So the items are in transit warehouse now. Now i want to receive this licenseplate in the destination warehouse and i get the error "Invalid license plate". I'm using the license plate which is related to the work. What did i do wrong?

Well, if you are failing on that error WAX691 there, it means you do not have an inventory transaction with type (Transfer order receipt) for the specified license plate ID.

Can you post a picture of your inventory transactions for the transfer order (with the inventory dimensions)?

Hi,

i think your hint with the transactions was right.

The default receive location FI-000 was initialized as a non-LP location in the first place. Because of that i couldn't receive the LP. So i changed the default receive location of this warehouse. But the transaction is still on the old receive location because the order is older. I try it again with a new order and tell you if it worked out.

Hi,

thanks for the hint.

The receive location changed after the order was created. That was the reason no matching invent transaction was found. The time a transfer order is created the receive location is fixed and must not be changed (or the order must be deleted).

Sounds good. Yeah, the default receiving location for a warehouse needs to be LP-tracked for WHS warehouses. Weird that you were able to set it to a non-LP tracked one

Hi, I have the same issue, but my warehouse is correct. The default receiving locations for both warehouses are LPN controlled.

When I look at the InventoryTransPosting table, there is a a line with empty values, and no posting type.

There is another line with posting type "Inventory, Inventory Issue".

It looks like the record was not properly inserted, and I do not know what could be causing this.

The LPN exists with the correct item and quantity in the WHSUOMStructure table.

The item shows in the transit warehouse with the correct LPN, quantity and item number.

I just cannot receive it. I keep getting "Invalid License Plate".

Also, if I do an "LPN Inquiry" through the RF, it does shoe the item is in the receiving location in the transit warehouse .
