Hi all,

I've updated my on-prem organization from the 8.2 to 9.1 version. Now I'm trying to import the existing managed solution to update it and get the following error in the logs:

"There are two attributes with the same name 'fieldName' in the entity 'guid' in the Database."

I've checked, there are no two attributes with such name, but the import is not possible due to this problem

How it can be solved?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Michael,
This doesn't appear to be widely impacting issue. Could you create a support case to get this issue investigated?

    How can I do it?

Yep, there are duplicates in the db

You have to select all the records from attributebase table withe the name that you have in error message.

Probably, you should see more then one record. The difference will be in a componentstate and overwritetime.

To fix the issue I removed all the records where component state eq 2 or overwrite time is not 1900-01-01..

It seems to be some ms db issue, I have the same picture with a different entities, especially with tables which related to plug-in assemblies.

There should be created a ticket to ms, but I don't know how to do it

Thanks so much for your quick reply Michael!

I'll give it a try, I can see the code in the area where the error is thrown was changed from v8 to v9

Where I can find this code also?

    Is it ms libraries?

Yes, just go to the bin folder in CRM Dynamics (e.g. C:\Program Files\Dynamics 365\CRMWeb\bin)

The CRM trace gives you the namespace of the class where the exception is being thrown

And then I use a decompiler (e.g. Just Decompile from Telerik https://www.telerik.com/products/decompiler.aspx) to look inside the assembly
