I remember we used to see an error message pop up when trying to track an appointment that was scheduled by someone than yourself. The message stated that you couldn't track appointments scheduled by others. The error message has stopped appearing, so I assumed the issue was fixed, but now we're noticing that those same appointments are getting stuck on "track pending" forever. Does anyone know if there has been a fix for tracking appointments scheduled by others? For the last few years we've advised our users to create a duplicate appointment on their calendar, just for tracking purposes, but that is such an annoying work around. Any info you can share would be great!
Hi Partner
This is currently a known issue, Immediate tracking of Appointment in Compose mode is disabled. MS is working on a fix to re-enable Immediate tracking of appointments. Till the time fix is available, Appointments will get tracked during next sync cycle and for most cases it could take anywhere between 1 - 10 mins. If appointments needs to be tracked immediately and are critical for business, then you can try following work arounds:
- Create and send appointment in Outlook Desktop and then track it through OWA
- Disable Category based tracking by disabling the OrgDbOrgSetting= TrackCategorizedItems and enable Immediate tracking of appointment by enabling FCB = FCB.MailAppAppointmentsReliablePromote.
Please note doing this will prevent users from using Category based tracking
