My MSCRM Corepack button has vanished

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I use CRM 2015 and have the mscrm addons document core pack which we use for merging data in an opportunity into a quote form in Word to send to a customer. There 'was' a button on the opportunity page that when pressed executed the process and a pop up comes up, you pick the template you want and Word opens with the merged quote form completed.

A few weeks ago I went into Word and into the www.mscrm-addons.com tab to edit some small print on the Word template. On saving the changes, Word crashed and the www.mscrm-addons.com was disabled and wouldn't enable again. After much uninstalling/installing, that was resolved but at the same time as this happend, the button on the opportunity page also vanished (for all users).

So we now have no way in CRM on the opportunity page to execute the merge to the quote form. Nothing has been touched in CRM and the setup, it seems to be totally linked to the crash of Word when editing the template.

Having done extensive searching, i cant really find anything match or a solution. Does anyone with knowledge of how this works have any suggestions or pointers of what I can look at to try and get the button back. The included screenshot has a yellow mark where the button was called 'quote'74348.Capture.JPG

    Hi

Like Wei suggested, if you still have support contract with the add-on developer/company you could contact them and get support.

If you want to try and fix this your self, you could try the following

    01. Download XRMToolBox if you don't already have it : https://xrmtoolbox.com

    02. And then install the Ribbon Workbench plugin : www.xrmtoolbox.com/.../RibbonWorkbench2016

    03. Create a new solution for Ribbon customization in CRM if you dont already have one and add opportunity entity to that solution - just the entity metadata should be enough, no need to add other components like fields / views/ forms or any dependencies

    04. Open that solution in ribbon workbench

    05. Check the Opportunity Form ribbon buttons and see if you can see the Core Pack button.

    06. If its there but hidden you should be able to unhide it

Let me know how it goes.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

I would suggest you to raise a support from the provider because it is their product and none of us have the capabilities to help you.
