Cannot create a record in Employment Id constraint (HCM Employmentidconstraint) The record already exist

Hello! When I try to create a new employee I have the message "Cannot create a record in Employment  Id constraint (HCM Employmentidconstraint) The record already exist" and I can´t find what is causing this problem because the employee doesn´t exist yet. 

The data is very basic: Name, Last name, ID number,  employment date and position

Thanks in advance on any comment or sugestion in this case

    Hi SILVIA RUIZ,

    Please make sure that you are not creating a duplicate Employee ID. If personnel number is set to auto-generated based number sequence you will need to check the number sequence settings.

    The sequence number is not set to auto generate, is set to Manual, so I am sure the ID doesn´t exist

    If some orphan records exist then number sequence status list may help even in this case too. But could you please confirm by filtering employee id on workers list page in Human resource management.

    Hi any update on how this was resolved? I am experiencing the same issue and have run the steps below with no luck on being able to resolve. Mine is also a manual number sequence
