Cannot run MS Dynamics NAV server after uninstall and delete of nav database. I'm running XP SP3 on a laptop with SQL Server 2008 R2. Please help I'm stuck with my attempts at configuring the database!

I am working on a laptop running XP SP3 to test NAV 2009 for my company. I have uninstalled NAV 2009 and removed the database from SQL. I re-installed NAV 2009, created user access (for an administrator account with SUPERUSER, ALL,and BASIC roles) in the classic client, and synchronized. However the user does not appear in the security for the Demo Database NAV (6-0) and I cannot get the role tailored client to open. Here is the message I receive:

You do not have permission to run the "Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server" System. Contact your systems administratorto have your permissions changed.

What might I have missed?

Hi Margaret,

Check that you have the Nav 2009 server granule (ID 9100) on your license.

Please try this:

Your Windows login should have super user permision in Navision.
