You can search with item description, and filter with the description field, and the item will be entered with the item no.

Hi Samer,
If your Item description is unique in Item Master & it has length of 20 Characters then replace your Item No. by your item description.
As standard, when you click the lookup on the No. field you can filter also by inserting the Description (recommended way to do so).
Otherwise (very bad customization) you can check the OnValidate trigger of Description field in the Sales Line table and here retrieve the Item No. by filtering the Item table for the Description value.
