Hi,

After i choose devTest, i need to select the type of the environemnt

1. What's the difference between /Build and Test/ and /Develop/ environments? And What is sth i can do in one of them that i can't do in the other one?

2. in the Build and test one, can i access visual studio and do development? as i assume this is still tier one environment right?

3. If i enable , power platform integration, does that still make it a tier one environment?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi

Build and Test will create and environment with a build agent pre installed and configured for Azure Build & RSAT Pipelines.

Develop is the dev environment without those on, so Visual Studio, SQL is  on there, but no build agent installed. You would also use this if you intended to used a cloud hosted environment for testing rather than development, build, or RSAT.

For option 3. - Yes it is still a "tier 1" which is a cloud hosted environment on your Azure subscription, rather than a Microsoft hosted environment, tier 2+.

Finally remembered one more important thing to add - if you don't enable a connected power platform environment at the start as you have setup in 3, you can't add one retrospectively, you can only do it on creation.
