We experience a new cool multisession UI available in the Dynamics 365 Customer Service workspace and the Omnichannel for Customer Service. The question is, how much can we build own multisession model-driven apps or customize the existing 2. I have done some experiments, but they show certain limitations, I would like to verify by the experts out there:
1. There is no "Save As" button for model-driven apps, so you cannot create a copy of any model-driven app including the two mentioned easily.
2. I tried to solve this through manual customization of the content of a solution file, which brought me indeed a copy of the Dynamics 365 Customer Service workspace. However, this copy, even though it worked has no possibility to use the app profile manager.
3. Changes made with the app profile manager are also not visible and applicable in the copied multisession app.
Can someone please confirm, whether is it possible to create a fully functional multisession model-driven app using any method, either the one I tried or any other? But of course that app needs to have everything including the app profile manager capability.
Hi Robert,
Yes, there is no "Save As" button for model-driven apps, you can refer the following link to switch app to multi-session:
Unfortunately, you only can set App profile manager for Omnichannel for Customer Service or Customer Service workspace apps currently.
Maybe you can post it in the Idea forum and invite more people to vote it.
