Planned order before using on hand stock

Hi all

I have on hand stock available, but still I got planned orders when I run Masterplan. The planned orders are both planned production order and planned purchase order. If I go to the Net requirement on the articles and update the masterplan everything look normal.

Any suggestions?

Br Erik

    Hi,

Is the master plan set to ignore on hand by any chance?

Is the existing inventory reserved for other orders?

    Kind regards

Can you post the net requirements screen shot? So things to check is the stock by site/warehouse depending upon your item dimension configuration. Any expired batches, any use of negative days in the plan etc. Lots to check :-)

This could be a multitude of reasons... As is often the case with master planning.

Have you set up warehouse hierarchies? That would also create transfer order suggestions.

Your master plan might ignore on hand stock (tick the checkbox).

Your coverage group positive days might be set to 0 (should be equal to horizon).

You might have requirement on a different location then you allocated stock.

You might have future requirements that exceed your requirements. Check your pegging to check that. Maybe safety stock is involved?

Start by posting your coverage group and master plan settings.

Hi Fredrik. Thank you very much. This was a new installation and I was running masterplan on a few articles. As you write it could be a multitude of reasons and I tested out too much parameters at the same time, but it seemed to it get solved when I run masterplan for all my items. Anyway it is running now. I appreciate your answer. Br Erik
