WHS - Automatically confirm shipment with a work audit template

I can see that there's an 'Event' option in the work audit template that'll automatically confirm the outbound shipment - but I can't seem to get it to trigger at the end of my sales order pick workflow.

I've tried this setup, but it doesn't seem to work.

That's:

Audit template ID:         AutoConfShipment
Description:                  Automatically confirm outbound shipment
Audit trigger field:         WorkId
Audit trigger event:       Completion
Line > Function:            Event
Line > Event:    Shipping confirmed

I've added it to my mobile menu item, but I am not seeing the shipment confirmed.

What have I missed?????

Hi Miele, it's been a while since I was working on WHS - but my guess is that you have be using the mobile terminal to make this work - but you don't actually need a mobile terminal - you could just run the WHS forms on a browser on your PC.

Hi, I do setting as following and its work.

As Guy Terry explained

Work audit template

Audit template ID= AutoConfShipment

Audit trigger field = ShipmentId

Audit trigger event = Status change

Break status = loaded

Line > Function: Event

Line > Event: Shipping confirmed

Mobile Device menu item

Audit template ID= AutoConfShipment

Then create Sale order, reserve it, click release to warehouse:

1 shipment has been created

Wave has been created

Work has been created

Know, shipment status= waved, work status= open

After work (work order type= sales order) closed by mobile device (I tested it when Directed by= user directed), shipment status changed to shipped automatically.

Without setting Audit template ID, if work closed, shipment status set to loaded and then one person should confirm shipment.

Couldn't let it go. Tried my original Work audit template setup and that worked with a User directed menu item, so it was the menu item setup that tripped me up.

Hi Guy, one of my colleagues spotted that I'd used a 'System directed' sales picking Mobile menu item. When I tried the same setup on a 'User directed' menu option it worked!

Still investigating this process and will update this post if get more information.

Thanks Guy - I tried that setting (which seems perfectly logical). But nothing happened.

I'm also struggling to find any documentation on this at all. Bit frustrating.

Can't take credit for this, but try:

Audit trigger field = ShipmentId

Audit trigger event = Status change

Break status = loaded

The person I stole that from appears to be a member here, but has never posted, so I'm sure he won't mind!

If you get it working, can you tell us what it does!? It sounds useful. I'm hoping that it auto-confirms a shipment when all shipment lines are fully picked?
