Works Order can not be reported as finished.

Dear Experts,

I`m having trouble to complete one of the works orders and I can't get my head around on how to fix it. We have reported as finished the works order, but the status remained "Started" and remaining status "Material Consumption". There's one item number that haven't been fully released, neither picked.

I can't create additional picking list journal of remaining quantity as it gives me an error:

"Quantity 40,130.00 cannot be updated with stock reference Prod. picking list journal because stock transactions with status On order, Reserved ordered, Reserved physical or Picked are insufficient."

Therefore I`m unable to select end tick box on picking list journal lines. I don't see any lines on the BOM with status on order for that quantity, they only picked and released 8870.

I don't know how it happened, how production managed to report full works order quantity without picking all RAW materials. This is the first time it happened and I`m kind a stuck with status started on this particular works order. Any suggestions?

Hi Viesturs,

A plausible cause can be related to not having sufficient on-hand for BOM components. But there might be other reasons also. As setup and usage of the manufacturing module can be very specific, I would like to refer you to your system administrator, key user or implementation partner who should be familiar with your environment.

HI V,

There might be number of reasons for the above errors, If tracking dimensions are applicable in your case. make sure if any stock is under registered or reserved, First un-register and un-reserve them. And than just release the WO again and than when you try to RAF please check accept error and end check box to ensure the rest of the quantity is posted accurately.

Hi,

Thank you for your replies. Its the first time I see the works order glitched that way and I can't find solution for it. The stock was available for that specific item and still is, but for one or the other reason it only released 10`000+/- out of 50`130, and there's no additional line with status "on order" with quantity 40`130 on the BOM works order for the to pick. Still trying to find solution how to consume that item number of 40`130 so I`m able to close the works order.

Still struggling to find a solution for it ... any suggestions are welcome.

I can't pick "PART 2" with remaining quantity even tho we have enough on-hand stock.

and I would expect to see a line with status "On order" with remaining quantity of 40130 in file below...

I created additional wave and I received an error message when tried to process it "The total quantity for production BOM LOT-XXX could not be fulfilled" ... due to missing line in file above.

When I tried to create picking list manually with remaining quantity I received an error message below ..

Is there a way to get this missing line with status "on order" with remaining quantity back on the BOM so I can end the works order?
