I got following error "Unable to find a unique People record corresponding to the entered values"  when setting up user relations. Here are the steps I did to create a new User in AX:

1. create a new user successfully.

2. create a new worker in Human resources module.

3. Double click the new user, Click the Relations (in Set up ribbon), then click New, type name in Person field. move mouse away. The above error message pop up.

I always use above steps to create a new user never had problem before. Only this user has issues.

One of the suggestion I got from researching is to look into Global address book. it may have duplicates in global address book. But I didn't find the duplicate record.

I got the user id from AD.

Any idea how to fix it.

Thank you Terry and Sohaib.  It worked this time.

I recreated the worker. then carefully select the worker from Dropdown list on the user relation form. It worked without any error or warning.

Clearly a case of Data inconsistency/validation.

System is unable to find a unique record from table DirPerson, against selected record.

You should carefully select Worker Only by filtering data with provided filter. otherwise if you are trying to do a wrong selection may be a Vendor does not has a corresponding record in DirPerson, as a vendor can be organization type.

carefully select employee/worker or Catch your technical guy who can see data in tables (DirPerson, HcmWorker, DirPersonUser)

When you are entering the 'Person', can you use the drop-down? And does it help if you set 'Filter persons by' to 'Worker'?
