I have an issue with the NAV-CRM-Sync. I hope this is the right forum.
The table contact in the CRM solution got an option-field.
To use the field while operations in NAV I created the field in the table 5342 CRM Contact.
The sync fails with the error "external data type is not supported". I do not understand why the sync not works. The "name" of the field in CRM is the same as in "ExternalName" in NAV. The option string in both fields seems the same. When i deactivated the field then all is fine. Other option fields work correctly. Has anyone an idea how i can solve the problem?
I know this is a very old post, but for those who come after me...
The solution here is to export the CRM Table to .txt.
Then check all the fields to be sure each one has the ExternalType property. (You need ExternalName too, but that can be edited in the dev environment.)
Save your changes and re-import the updated table object.
