Hi All
Is there a supported way to hide to + add new button from lookup fields? Users need the ability to add record from main menu so cannot change security
Example below but a real use case.
I have the same question (0)

I don't believe there is a way to disable that option from the Out of Box lookup field, and the security roles are not details enough to define specific creation points on records (it's an all or nothing thing for create permissions).

You could maybe look at replacing the lookup field on the form with a custom PCF control? This would replace the default lookup field control and some of them have options to allow you to prevent new record creation.

Something like the above control changes the Lookup field to a dropdown, and I believe it allows you to prevent new record creation as well. The installation process is not too bad, but reply back if you run into any issues.

    Hello,

I found this blog, which might work for you: DYNAMICS CRM/MODEL-DRIVEN APPS

Still, If your use case is only for "currencies", you can use one option set with predefine options.

If this answer helps you, consider approving it.

    Thanks,
    Nitesh

I don't think changing the XML via xrm toolbox is supported and might have impact on future upgrades
