Hi,
Could anyone help me understand how decimals supported is used while providing a Service in the field service? How is it used in terms of the service?
The concept is this: Enter a whole number between 0 and 5. If the product can't be divided into fractional quantities, enter 0. The precision of the Quantity field in the quote, order, or invoice product record is validated against the value in this field if the product does not have an associated price list.
In theory, you would want to enter in the proper decimals supported across the platform
Hi Mequan,
Thanks for the reply. What i want to know is the concept of "decimal Supported".What happens when we use say certain value , say 2 in decimal supported for service of reparing the machine. How does it effect the service we are providing.
Hi Asism,
If the decimals supported field contains a value, you may be able to correctly save products that are added to opportunities, quotes, orders and invoices.
And you may receive a "You must provide a value for Decimals Supported" message when you try to save changes to a product that was imported into Microsoft CRM by using the Microsoft CRM Assessment Import program as https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/908340/you-receive-a-you-must-provide-a-value-for-decimals-supported-message .
Thanks
