Management Reporter - Formulas In Row Definition

ReportReport

Dear All,

I want to add a formula in the row definition which divides the total gross margin by the base period that I select while generating the report.

How can I do the same?

    Dear Ludwig,

The workaround did work and I got the expected results.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

    Hi Binit,

I think your 'workaround' is the easiest option. Other than the Excel integration I could imagine that this could be realized by using conditional column printing options and non-printing columns and rows. Yet, I have never tested such kind of setup and would imagine that it will result in a complex report setup (if it is possible at all?!)

Do you mind verifying your last response as verified answer?

That is because I believe that a lot of other AX users have similar requirements and might want to use the approach you found.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

For the time being since I could not find such formula I used an alternative where first I created an excel with different numbers and created a report which is linked to this excel.

Then I linked my original report to this report which helps to get the exact number and hence I can divide by the number.

    Hello Binit,

If I get you right then you want to divide the gross margin let's say in May by 5, in June by 6, in July by 7 and so on. Is that right?

    Ludwig
