Case management hierarchy case workflow not working in D365

Hi,

I am getting a message in D365 when I configured the multiple workflows and have a default workflow to call the sub-workflows depending on the condition. My workflows have been configured in AX2012 and I have been able to configure and activate them in D365 with no errors. However, when I try to create a case it is giving me this error message.

"                 The system cannot determine which workflow to run. Review the conditions in the "Set condition for use" area for each workflow that is based on the Case management workflow type. "

Although the same type of hierarchy worked on the payment workflows in D365 for customer payments that I created, for some reason it seems that in case management parent workflow is unable to recognize the sub-workflows where the request should be routed.

Can somebody please help? I see that in D365, there is this "Associate hierarchy" so I tried to do that but I need to create a hierarchy since the drop down list is empty.

1. Where can I configure the association hierarchy if needed to get my workflows running?

2. If No. 1 is not needed how can I get my workflows running is case management?

I also tried creating another workflow add associations to it but I am getting a "Stack trace TT commit..." something error. Thanks so much!

    Hi,

I would like to get back to the error message that you received? Have you stipulated some conditions for running your workflows? If ao, what are the conditions that you defined?

    Best regards

Yes, the parent workflow activation just checks to make sure that the legal entities (company), case categories and case processes are valid to enter the workflows. Then if valid, it checks to see which sub-workflow it should run by identifying the workflow ID. All the sub-workflows have no errors and the conditions are set properly. Like I said, these worked in AX2012 but the same error that I mentioned above keeps recurring even if the category type security are setup for the roles. Thanks for the response. I greatly appreciate it.

I tried to create manually again the workflow in case management instead of using the import file exported from AX2012 and it worked. It seems like the import functionality does not work even though after importing the errors initially identified were fixed.
