Accidentally Posted BBF Journal Entries that I wanted to Post as Adjusting Entries to a Closed Year (2021)

Hello,

I accidentally posted "BBF" journal entries that were meant to adjust on a specific date within a closed period because I had the "Accounts" & "Transactions" boxes cleared in the Maintain History section of the General Ledger Setup I believe.  I needed these to post to the date of the transaction since it is part of an opening balance sheet related to purchase accounting transactions.  It does not allow me to back out these journal entries due to the below:

What is the best way to fix this so I can reenter the adjusting JEs so they post to the proper month in 2021?

When you reopen a closed GL year, the system should automatically 'un-do' the BBF entries, so if you have a TEST company, restore a current backup to the TEST Company and try to 'reverse the historical year' to reopen the GL year, and then you can close it again, and proceed to post your new entry as desired.   If all looks fine, then repeat the steps in the live company.
