Sepa Payment Error

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 70

When the user is trying to generate payment for vendor payment with the export payment using service as SEPA he is getting the following error:

Access denied: CustVendPaymentGenerationController

However the error is not coming when we give the user system administrator role.

Can anyone tell me which role do I need to give to the user so that the error disappears?

Did you tried to assign the permission to normal Role, by overriding Permission >> add server methods

@Sohaib yes I have given this role to the user.... but it is still not working is this something related the a bug in the system??

no its not a bug at all.

its something missing in security permissions.

Can you explain more on your process. you are generating a payment file, using web services..? is that customized web service or existing and what file format is generated as output? when user gets error? as he clicks on Generate Payment in payment Journal?

    Hello Binit,

I agree with Sohaib that the message you receive does not sound like a bug. Yet, once you have overcome this first hurdle, most probably you will run into several other issues / bugs with SEPA in Dynamics AX.

A very good source to overcome those problems is the Microsoft AX Finance DACH blog blogs.technet.microsoft.com/ax_finance_dach that includes numerous documents about how to setup and make SEPA payments work. The notes posted on the blog are sometimes in German language but the documentations provided are in English (e.g. msdnshared.blob.core.windows.net/.../Setup%20SEPA%20Credit%20Transfer%20in%20AX%202012%20R2.pdf)

I would recommend that you also have a look at this site and LifeCycle Services as Microsoft has released numerous hotfixes for SEPA. If you have not implemented them you will probably not be able to generate any flueless SEPA payment file even if everthing else is ok with your Setup, user rights, etc.

    All the best,

    Ludwig

    Dear Sohaib,

We are using the standard functionality of generating SEPA payments from AX. And the file that is generated is a XML format.

what does the user do is that he clicks on the Generate payments button and the selects the Export payments using service check box...

in that we have created a payment format for SEPACredittransfer using the steps given by Microsoft....

the User then selects the bank from which the payment is to be made and then clicks on OK.

Another dialogue box opens in which the user can change the date of the payment and then again he clicks on OK.

once he clicks Ok a file should have been generated in the shared folder of the server from which the user will pick the file generated and upload it on the bank website to make the payment.....

However the issue we are facing is that when the user is given the system administrator role he can generate the file and when he is given the normal roles he is not able to generate the file.....

I found the following link on TechNet and it says that there is some hotfix available however I am not able to find the same hotfix on the Microsoft Partner Source.

    www.google.com/url;rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi_iKP_jN7KAhVr9HIKHUFUCsoQFggeMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.technet.com%2Fcfs-filesystemfile.ashx%2F__key%2Ftelligent-evolution-components-attachments%2F01-8456-00-00-03-63-88-40%2FHotfixliste-SEPA-AX2012R3.pdf&usg=AFQjCNH_0V405dhzdmSw2iylWdtikvPTQw&sig2=d9JYNyReuMc45Lfk-5Wg-g

does normal user receives any error message or nothing happens as he/she generates payment??

Moreover if you are searching for any hotfixes or issues, those cannot be on PartnerSource those are available on LCS  Now.

your previously provided link is broken.

I can see a fix for exactly same issue with below url on LCS

    KB 3064772

can you check it with respect to your version of AX

and this hotfix is nothing more than 2 security objects if you look at it.

so if you can kindly tell us your version of AX, may be we can help you by comparing objects of that version with latest version of ax
