Table Inheritance issue

Hi ALL

I have created a new table with three field  and extended(using table inheritance) the Dirparty table after that done synchronization and getting some synchronization errors and not able to proceed further . (Now this is a critical issue for me)

Example :

1. Created a new table  : MyOMOperatingUnit (table Name) with fields

DataAreaIdentification

DimensionAttributeValue

PrintdivspecificLogo

and automatically one relation had been added between Recid of my table and recid of  Dir party table

After the sync I am getting below errors :---

Errors 1:

Cannot execute the required database operation.

The SQL database has issued an error.

Illegal data conversion from original field DIRPARTYTABLE.SONPARTYIDENTIFIER to DIRPARTYTABLE.PrintDivSpecificLogo: Unable to convert data types to anything but character field type (0 to 4).

Errors 2:

Cannot execute the required database operation.

The SQL database has issued an error.

Illegal data conversion from original field DIRPARTYTABLE.SONPARTYIDENTIFIER to DIRPARTYTABLE. DimensionAttributeValue

Errors 3:

Unable to convert data types to anything but character field type (0 to 4).

Cannot execute the required database operation.

The SQL database has issued an error.

Invalid column name DataAreaIdentification

DIRPARTYTABLE. DataAreaIdentification: Unable to convert data types to anything but character field type (0 to 4).

To rectify the issue deleted the table and re created same table again and now it is working for me.

But the same solution had been applied in other machines but not working

Any suggestions would be more appreciated.

Best Regards,

Krishna

It seems that you ran into ID conflicts with your Son* fields, therefore AX thinks that you renamed the fields and tries, for instance, change SonPartyIdentifier to DimensionAttributeValue and convert existing data (which fails).

The simple answer is "change fields IDs". But I can't answer the important question of "how did it happen" because I know nothing about your system.
