Can you combine vendors using PSTL if one of the vendor IDs has something in "Work" status?

Yes.  PSTL supports modifying records regardless of the status of transactions involving the record.

    I second Redbeard!

If you have question about the tool I would also recommend checking the PDF that comes with PSTL as it has some very good information about the different PSTL tools.

Joshua Page Apologies as I have mistakenly flagged your post .. I am not being able to undo this click !

As for the original topic, I have previously analyzed the scripts running when combining customers which is identically the same for the vendors.  The details can be found thoroughly on : Customer Combiner Utility

In summary, "for the customer combiner", which applies on the vendor as well:

    1. All the details of the source customer are removed from the system, while the destination customer card is remained as is
    2. The summary information (RM00103) are updated for the destination customer to be the sum of both such as (Customer Balance, Aging per amount, Total sales LTD, YTD… etc.)
    3. All the transactions’ details are kept the same with no update on any of the fields. Only the Customer ID field of the source customer is updated with the id of the destination customer.

Got a question regarding this - client has merged 2 vendors and picked the wrong vendor!  (Not sure if a backup was done, of course)  Is there a way to undo a merge?
