Unpick an item after the status is under packing slip

Hi,

I have a scenario where there is an item which was suppose to be unpicked but the picker picked it. The status is already changed to packing slip. How can I unpick the item .

I have followed the following steps but still I am not able to unpick the item.

I clicked on packing slip journal for the particular sales order I want to work on and cancel the SO. The status changes to "canceled" and document status remains "packing slip".

Then I click on picking list journal and click picking list registration and under the lines when I click on functions > unpick I get an error message saying "Quantity XXX cannot be unpicked because inventory transactions with status Picked are insufficient".

Please let me know how can I unpick an item after it is under packing slip status?

    Correct.

    "CORRECT" lets you change what was posted as delivered in a packing slip on a line by line level.

    The delta is returned to your inventory like nothing happened.

    You were so close...

    Canceling an entire packing slip cancel it completely. Use the CORRECTION (right next to cancel) and adjust the quantity you want. That will return only the one item.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the screenshot. That is great.

    It looks to me like you have not only cancelled the Packing slip, you have also cancelled the whole sales order. This is why you can't pick the lines again. If the order was still open, you'd have some numbers in the 'On order' or 'Physical reserved' columns.

    When you cancel a Packing slip, I believe it also 'unpicks' the lines for you too. So you don't normally need to unpick.

    To only cancel one line on a Packing slip, use the 'Correct' function, rather than the 'Cancel' function. On the 'Correct a packing slip' form, enter the number you want to have delivered in the 'Update' field. If you want to reverse a whole line, enter zero in the 'Update' field.

    But I wanted to unpick only one item, how do I do that?

    My status says canceled with document status as packing slip.

    That means you have revered your packing slip that have returned the items to stock.

    Now you can post a new picking list to start picking them, packing slip update them to pull them out of stock again or delete/cancel the order.
