Customer account field does not show up as an option for Quote form

I created a custom field ("sdm_tax_code") for the Accounts entity and would like it to show up as a prefilled field on my Quotes form (and also on my printed quote). But, when I modify my quote form, my custom account field does not show up as an option for dragging into my quote form. Is there something I need to do to be able to have this field display in my quote form? Thanks

    Hi,

You would need to add Quick View Form on your quote form to show fields from related entity.

    Thanks Bipin,

I tried this method but the custom field from the Accounts entity that I want to show is not available for the Quick View form I tried to create. Not sure why. I am trying to get an answer now from Dynamics support.

    Hi,

I created new custom field country in Account entity.

    CR22.PNG

Now created new Quick View form in Account Entity

    CR23.PNG

added Custom field Country from Account

    CR24.PNG

Now I added Quick view to Employee Entity for your case it will be Order Entity

    CR25.PNG

Once published, I go to employee form and select Account lookup field, I could see Account Entity custom fields Country on Employee form.

    CR26.PNG

    Hope this helps!

Alternatively you could create a calculated field on Quote, that gets the value from the Account field and add this field to the Quote form. This will be easier for the printed quote as well.
