We need to configure an approval workflow for the delegate action in d365 F&O.
For example, when we insert the delegate name in some modules, this action must be approved beforehand.
Does this exist in the standard?
I am not aware of all workflows in F&O tbh, but I doubt there is such a workflow. Workflows are usually clustered by modules. So, for expense management workflows you all find them in that module and there is no validation of delegates. Sames holds for accounts payable and so on.
In general, if you give someone a permission to create a delegate row, you trust them that they know what to put in or not.
Nevertheless, let me give some ideas how I would solve this:
Centralize the delegation, i.e. only some people can create delegates - if that is possible in your organisation
Create Business Events for these tables, so you can catch CRUD operations via Power Automate and send the information to users to check the actions. This is not a approval how you expect to work, however, before a big hard happens you can catch the changes and react.
If you are using dataverse connectors instead of the classic F&O connects for Power Automate, you dont need to create a business event, so no development is necessary.
