Prohibit salespeople from viewing others' leads and opportunities

Hello Community,

In Dynamics Sales Hub, the members of the sales team of a company are able to see the leads and opportunities generated by other salespeople. Is there a way to prohibit any random salesperson from seeing others' leads and opportunities? I need to set it up in such a way that only the sales exec or managers can see the leads and opportunities created by the salespeople of their company or team.

Please Help!

Thank You!

    Hi,

I was just giving examples of using "Basics User" security roles before. You can also make changes inside the original security role.

In the event that you still see the records of other users, please check whether the user has been given another security role.

Drag the drop down box to check if there is another security role, remove it and save.

    Hello Eiken,

Thank you very much for the answer. I followed the exact same process. Changed the user role to Basic user. Went to Security Role and then edited the Basic User setting as you suggested and kept it to user level, however people were still able to see the leads and opportunities generated by others. It didn't work even after configuring the settings. Surprising!

    Hi,

Editing security roles can solve this problem.

For example, I have a user which has one security role "Basic User".

Now I edit this security role. Go to Power Platform admin center > choose environment> setting>users & permissions> security role

Set security level to "User" level

Now the user can only see personal records of leads.
