Could please provide the step you have experienced to data upgrade ax2012 to D365 FO?

I have received an error when running the AX2012DataUpgrade script on Step 3: Failed Synchronize system table.

    Could you please help me?

    Hi Vinaykumar,

There are a lot of tools to help you migrate, nevertheless I believe you should not underestimate the task and the cloud is a very different environment than an on-premise installation. You are saved a lot of technical work but the work with the environments are much different.

Although there might be step by step instructions somewhere to part of the journey, many of the tasks will involve knowledge, scripting and coding. My advice for you is to contact the migration program and sign up for free advice there on dynamics.microsoft.com/.../migration-program. It's not binding and will give you a better and more thorough understanding of what will be involved.

Then this community will be very much suited to direct you and guide you to answers to specific, detailed questions around the migration, shortcuts, things to avoid etc.

My last suggestion is to work with it and test, test and test. All the best in your endeavor, the application has grown immensely between AX2012 and D365.

    RE: Database upgradation from AX 2012 R3 to D 365 !

Thanks for sharing the valid content, I am having few concerns on taking the 'backup of AX DB', My concerns were,

1.) we need to skip the users (AX users) ?

2.) No impact right on virtual companies and legal entities ?

3.) I guess, what are the customized objects need to create in D 365?

4.) 'Upload Backup to Azure Storage', I am not aware what are the steps required means how to do upload to Azure Storage ?

5.) how to do 'download and restore backup to sand Box environment' ?

6.) execute dataupgrade is doing in LCS ?

here most of the cases, we can write the commands to get the results ?

we are doing from AX 2012 R3 to D 365 (Cloud).

    Thanks,

    Vinaykumar.

    Hi,

Another suggestion is log a service request to check with Microsoft D365 Tech support team.

    Hope this can help you.
